I'm having trouble customizing the My BlueLight Start Page (Netscape)

If you're having trouble customizing your personal Start Page in Netscape, you will first need to clear your browser's "cookie" file.

  1. Log off BlueLight Internet and close all open programs.
  2. Click on the Windows Start button, point to Find (Search in WinME) and select Files or Folders.
(Windows XP users: Click Start and select Search. In the Search window, choose All files and folders.)
  3. In the Named text box, type cookies.txt
(Windows XP users: Type cookies.txt in the section marked All or part of the file name)
  4. Click on the Find Now or Search button.
  5. The cookies.txt file should appear. (If multiple files are found, select only the cookies.txt file in the folder called C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\default.)
  6. Click once on the cookies.txt file to highlight it then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
  7. Click Yes to confirm deletion.

The next step is to make sure the cookies option is enabled in Netscape.

  1. Open Netscape.
  2. From the Edit menu, select Preferences
  3. Under Category, click on Advanced.
  4. Under Cookies, ensure that Accept all cookies is checked.

You should now be able to log on to BlueLight Internet and successfully customize your Start Page.
