Mails forwarded as an attachment

Please note that depending on the nature of the message that you are replying to or forwarding, the text may be included either as an attachment, or in the body of the message.

If you enable the option include Text of original message in Reply then the message would be part of the reply. However, if the message type is 'text/html' or multipart/alternate, the text is not shown inline (while replying and forwarding), but only as an attachment.

For plain text messages, the message would be showed inline in the compose text area.

If the original message is a plain text email with an attachment (text/html), the plain text message will be included as before but not the attachment.

When you send a plain text message and receive a multipart/alternate reply to the same, and when replied to this, the text will not be shown inline, but will be forwarded as an attachment.
