I cannot receive email.

Try the following troubleshooting steps if you're having trouble receiving emails:

  1. Are you logged on?

  2. Double-check to be sure you are currently connected to the Internet before trying to receive your emails by trying to open a Web page.

  3. Try to Receive messages
    1. Open Windows Mail.
    2. Find the Send and Receive button on the top menu and click it.


    If there's a problem with receiving mail, you will see an error message. If you need to provide your Account Name and Password, you will be prompted.

  4. Verify that Windows Mail is properly configured for your BlueLight Internet account.
    1. Open Windows Mail.
    2. Click on Tools and select Accounts.
    3. Click on Properties under the Mail section.
    4. Click on the Servers tab. Confirm that both the POP and SMTP settings are correct

    5. POP: pop.mybluelight.com
      SMTP: authsmtp.mybluelight.com
    6. Re-enter your account name and password, and make sure the Remember my password box is checked.
    7. Click OK then click Close to save your settings.


    Try receiving mail again.
